Max and longtime gal pal and fruit fly Sheena Janson are the curators of a new monthly cabaret series at Hell's Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis! MUSICAL MONDAYS highlights some of the Twin Cities' most exciting musical theater and cabaret performers doing what they do best! We perform the first Monday of every month at 7pm. Max is back in the Minnesota Fringe Festival this year!
He's currently hard at work writing his second musical, with the help of director/choreographer Nikki Swoboda and composer Michael Gruber, both of whom collaborated on last year's audience favorite FRUIT FLY: THE MUSICAL.
The new musical is a political satire about an eccentric but misguided congresswoman who writes a "1000% factual" children's book to respond to left-wing critics and promote her own ideologies. SHELLY BACHBERG PRESENTS: HOW HELEN KELLER AND ANNE FRANK FREED THE SLAVES: THE MUSICAL will play the New Century Theatre in downtown Minneapolis. More details soon!
